Import Compliance Specialist Contract (Hybrid | Potential for Extension)Location: Dallas, TX Pay Rate: $50/hour or more DOE Schedule: MondayFriday | Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) Employment Type: Contract (4 months, with potential to extend)Kelly Services is hiring on behalf of a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical organization seeking an experienced Import Compliance Specialist to join their U.S. Supply Chain Operations team.This hybrid role plays a key part in ensuring import shipments are processed efficiently, accurately classified, and fully compliant with U.S. Customs and FDA regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage import shipments and ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs and FDA requirementsCoordinate documentation and clearance with customs brokers and freight forwardersVerify HTS codes and import tariff classifications for accuracy and complianceRepresent U.S. Logistics in import and tariff-related project meetingsMonitor first sale declaration documentation and maintain compliance filesTrack and report import KPIs, including shipment timelines and cost accuracyCollaborate across internal departments and external logistics partners to resolve delays or issuesMaintain audit-ready documentation and support compliance reviews as neededQualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or customs brokerageDirect experience with U.S. Customs Brokerage requiredStrong knowledge of HTS codes, tariff application, and customs regulationsExperience working with freight forwarders and global logistics partnersExposure to FDA-regulated imports preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsERP/WMS system experience (Oracle preferred)Excellent communication, organization, and time management skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environmentWork EnvironmentHybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remoteOffice location: Dallas, TXTravel: Less than 5%May involve occasional movement between office and warehouse areasThis is a strong opportunity for an import compliance professional with hands-on experience in customs brokerage, tariff classification, and global logistics.
