Individual/Group Therapist at Educational Development Center

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Licensed or license eligible  Individual/Group Therapist to join our team! You must have a Master's Degree in Counseling or related field and clinical experience is recommended. You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings, in a private day Special Education school. As well as respond to students in crisis, providing interventions, Threat Assessements, and focusing on the individual goals of each student. Experience with parent communications and the linking of services is required.Responsibilities:Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issuesOffer assistance to individuals with multiple issuesProvide prevention-oriented therapyImplement and review treatment plansCollaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agenciesEnsure all documentation is completed in a timely mannerQualifications:Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fieldsLPC or LCSWThreat Assessment experienceFamiliarity with community mental health resourcesExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to build rapport with clientsStrong leadership qualitiesCompany DescriptionOur Mission, Vision, and Values (Equal Opportunity Employer)Mission: The mission of the Educational Development Center's therapeutic programming is to provide a therapeutic, intensive academic and behavioral program to students who have been identified as emotionally disabled, learning disabled, intellectually disabled, autism, multi-disabled and those with other health impairments.
