Job Title: Industrial Electrical Estimator - DIRECT HIRE
Job Description
We are seeking an Industrial Electrical Estimator with expertise in developing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with estimating software, such as McCormick, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. An understanding of construction disciplines and sequence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop estimates for budgets and schedules by applying productivity factors specific to complicated projects, confined spaces, phased shutdowns, bypass pumping, and compressed schedules.
- Perform detailed electrical takeoffs from project specifications, one-line diagrams, P&IDs, control schematics, MCC and VFD schedules, lighting, grounding, and site plans, network diagrams, and riser diagrams.
- Identify costs associated with general and special conditions.
- Develop relationships with general contractors and clients.
- Measure and quantify medium and low voltage distribution switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, soft starters, lighting and power panels, local and vendor control panels, PLCs, RIOs, I/O points, instrumentation and control wiring, underground duct banks and raceways, and process equipment power and control.
Essential Skills
- McCormick Estimating Software experience desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Basic understanding of construction disciplines and sequence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the bid/estimating process for water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.
- Ability to estimate material cost and craft labor productivity.
- Experience in soliciting and negotiating prices from subcontractors/suppliers.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
