Work with operators and engineers to detail operations.Assist with OEE data collection. Helps to identify and conduct studies on loss areas and opportunities for improvement.Conduct time studies and cycle time checks.Assist Manufacturing with implementation of lean concepts in manufacturing and assembly department.Assist with work area equipment layouts and machine verifications.Assists Manufacturing in other project activities as the need arises.Assist with the implementation of methods improvements.Work with Manufacturing Engineering Production and other members of IE team to track projects and update them as needed in APEXAssist AOS Manager in validating annualized savingsMaintain spreadsheets relating to Scrap and OEE SavingsAll other duties as assignedRequired Skills and EducationPursuing an undergraduate degree fulltime in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week.Minimum 3.0 GPA.Strong digital literacy especially in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD.Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes with emphasis on lean manufacturing concepts.Must be able to work in the US without Visa SponsorshipAbout AAM:As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier AAM designs engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
