We offer a generous benefits package and compensation commensurate with your experience and skill set.General DescriptionThis position provides SME level industry liaison support to the Air Force Office of Small Business Programs (SAF/SB). The successful candidate will engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for individuals groups or organizations within SAF/SB. The candidate will also write or select material for release to various communications media.Duties and responsibilitiesThe successful candidate will perform the following:Support AF enterprise-wide core mission capabilities in strategic outreach and communications inclusive of but not limited to research data/information gathering analyses and synthesis of gathered research/materials to enable and assist with delivery of effective strategic messaging for communication to senior leaders and the workforce across the AF enterprise DoD Industry and within the Federal SB program as appropriate.Provide strategic outreach/event planning support and manage the scheduling of meetings conferences and outreach events.Coordinate required elements for meetings and events including but not limited to obtaining event approval and approval of talking points; coordinating agendas; coordinating meeting logistics including locations directions and facilities; and managing needed materials. Also assist with compiling/packaging of SAF/SB handouts for each event.Brief Air Force leadership (Director/Deputy Director level) of scheduled and proposed events.Develop manage and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) consisting of multiple project schedules.Analyze and align organizational tasks and priorities to the National Defense Strategy AF Strategic Priorities and SAF/SB Project Plan objectives.Specialized KnowledgeThe successful candidate will have knowledge in the following areas:Knowledge and expertise in the DoD acquisition process.Experience with performing headquarters staff level work.Knowledge and understanding of strategic communications planning and execution.Knowledge and expertise performing research drafting and publishing of talking points bullet background papers and read-ahead documentsEducationBachelors degree in business communications marketing or related field.Professional CertificationsNone required; however certifications such as Project Management Professional are preferred.Clearance Required Existing or ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance.ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years experience in working with DoD acquisitions and headquarters staff level work or equivalent. All five (5) years of experience must have occurred within the last 10 years. U.S. Citizen or SimilarMust be a U.S. CitizenOther Characteristics (e.g. Personal or Language)Excellent oral written and communication in English. Must be able to work in a team environment with members that include personnel from other companies Government program management and administrative personnel and technical staff members. Must be able to perform with minimal management oversight and have strong time management skills.Working conditions including locationOn site at the Pentagon in Washington DC.
