Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Weekend & 2nd Shifts at Rfc Llc - Dba Roll Forming Corporation

Were seeking an industrial maintenance mechanic to support a busy manufacturing facility. Must enjoy troubleshooting working independently and have strong technical skills. This person may specialize in one or more of the following areas but should have general knowledge in all: mechanical electrical electronics HVAC and hydraulics.What Youll Be Doing:Troubleshooting diagnosing repairing and maintaining buildings machinery and mechanical equipmentfor our metal-forming manufacturing facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance by starting devices to test their performance observing mechanical devices in operation and listening to their sounds to locate causes of trouble dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments repairing and replacing defective parts and may install special functional and structural parts.Lubricate and clean parts and equipment and repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturers specifications using hand tools power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.Examine form and texture to parts to detect imperfections inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules calipers micrometers and other measuring instruments.May set up and operate lathe drill press grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Apply basic electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment to determine causes for malfunction such as motor control devices switch panels transformers solenoids and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals.Complete training on new and existing equipment and uses applicable reference material and at the direction of the supervisor may be required to use specialized reference material.Schedule:Typical schedule will be Friday to Sunday 5AM-5PM for Weekend Day Shift. Weekend Night Shift is Friday to Sunday 5PM-5AM. 2nd shift is Monday to Thursday 3:30PM-2:00AM. Eligible for Weekend shift premium of $3/hour for day shift and $4.50/hour for weekend night shift and for 2nd shift shift premium of $1/hour. Training may occur on 1st shift during the weekdays. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.QualificationsThree or more years related experience in industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with:hydraulics mechanical electrical machine control and/or PLCswelding/metal fabricationmanufacturing environmentmaintenance tools and equipmentAbility to troubleshoot diagnose and repair industrial equipment.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently; 50 lbs occasionallyComputer skills able to navigate various software including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems.High School Diploma or equivalentMust be a US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements)PreferredTwo-year technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenanceExperience with:metal forming equipment including bending cutting or roll forming.Project experience including new equipment installationsWho We Arevoestalpine Roll Forming Corporation or RFC as we call it supplies custom roll formed metal components into several industries including Aerospace Construction Material Handling Off-Highway Office Furniture Solar and Transportation.
