Industrial Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift at IFS Industries

GENERAL SUMMARY:The Maintenance Technician performs routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. These activities include preventive maintenance daily equipment repairs following up on work orders and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This role is also required to periodically be on call to cover non routine maintenance activities that occur during off hours.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Preventive maintenance tasksTroubleshooting industrial electric and pneumatic pumps and motorsRepair and rebuilding of gear pumps and diaphragm pumps from ¾ to 3 sizesChanging of mechanical seals in pumpsShaft alignment for pumpsMinor electrical workGeneral facility upkeep and routine repairsFollow up on workorders.Must comply with all safety regulations and policies to ensure work is done is a safe manner.Maintain inventory of spare parts list.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proactive maintenance mindset.Good organizational interpersonal and communication skills.Basic mathematical and computer skills (create and fill out work orders on a web-based system)Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.Must be able to be on-call for afterhours call in and overtime as needed.Technical School certifications a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must wear appropriate PPE as required.Unrestricted ability to sit stand walk reach stoop kneel crouch crawl climb stairs ladders and balance.Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms.Ability to lift push pull and/or move 55 pounds.Specific vision abilities include close vision peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.Occasionally exposed to fumes airborne particles and a wide range of temperatures.Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.Noise level is usually loud.All applicants must successfully pass an interview background check and drug/alcohol screening.IFS INDUSTRIES is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Electrical Experience,eMaint,Industrial Maintenance,HVAC,Mechanical Knowledge,Property Maintenance,Maintenance,Painting,Plumbing,Hydraulics,Programmable Logic Controllers,Troubleshooting Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
