The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire role with a client of ours in Ft. Worth, Tx. The work will be completed 100% onsite.

Summary
Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This role splits time between the office and the shop floor-approximately 50% each. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sheet metal fabrication, product layout, and process improvement, with the ability to move seamlessly between design collaboration and floor-level problem solving. Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and optimize layouts for sheet metal components and assemblies.

  • Support the full product lifecycle - from prototype through production and ongoing product support.

  • Lead small-scale capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and design issues.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

  • Provide technical guidance on machine capabilities, tooling, and equipment utilization.

  • Drive process improvements (PIP) to increase efficiency, safety, and product quality.

  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a sheet metal or fabricated product environment.

  • Proven ability to work both at the desk (CAD/design collaboration, layouts, documentation) and on the floor (troubleshooting, testing, process optimization).

  • Experience managing small capital improvement projects.

  • Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).

  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
