Industrial Mechanic at Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS)

(Scott, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an industrial supply company.

Essential Duties:

• Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations and complete scheduled maintenance during machine service intervals.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems.

• Perform basic machinist duties as required.

• Troubleshoot equipment issues, diagnose root causes, determine appropriate corrective actions, and test completed work.

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities at prescribed intervals.

• Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report findings to the appropriate supervisor.

• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• Utilize an app-based maintenance program to schedule, track, and document maintenance tasks, PMs, and labor hours.

• Use company-issued computer equipment, including email, to support maintenance operations.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance and mechanical experience preferred.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow established procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Moderate physical effort, including standing on concrete floors for extended periods.

• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.

• Ability to work in an unairconditioned warehouse environment with exposure to loud noise.
