Industrial Painter General Laborer at Bekum Group

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Maintain compliance with OSHA MIOSHA and Company safety standards.Apply paint and other coatings to various surfaces including preparing parts by cleaning sanding and repairing defects as needed.Inspect parts for quality including weld integrity surface imperfections and overall finish.Mix paints to match specified colors and operate equipment such as paint sprayers sanders and sandblasters.Operate material handling equipment (forklifts cranes etc.) and perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.Maintain a clean work area and ensure good housekeeping practices.Assist in other departments as temporarily assigned.Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or trainingPrior painting experience will be given preferenceAbility to maintain tools equipment and work areaSkill in distinguishing quality paint jobsCommitment to efficiency quality and safety standardsAdditional Information : Bekum America Corporation offers a total compensation package that emphasizes the health and wellbeing of our diverse workforce and encourages work-life balance.
