Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Classification: Non-Exempt / Full-Time We are hiring for our Los Angeles site and Long Beach site Position Summary:The Infant Preschool Teacher provides nurturing care and age-appropriate educational experiences for infants(12 to 24 months). This role fosters a warm, engaging environment that supports early developmentalmilestones and complies with NAEYC standards and ITERS expectations.Primary Responsibilities:Deliver nurturing, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and individualized support.Plan and implement Creative Curriculum®-based activities that promote development.Complete DRDP and ASQ assessments and maintain documentation.Maintain an ITERS-compliant environment at all times.Communicate daily updates through Learning Genie.Sanitize and disinfect classroom materials and surfaces daily.Comply with all Title 22, Title 5, and CACFP regulations.Participate in professional development, in-service training, and apply best practices.Maintain respectful communication with children, families, and staff.Requirements:Required Qualifications:Minimum 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler development.Must obtain an ECE Permit within 90 days of employment.Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.Must complete and maintain Mandated Reporter Child Abuse Training Certificate.TB test and immunizations for Tdap and MMR required; flu shot is optional.Must attend and complete all assigned in-service trainings.Physical Safety Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Requires bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, and sitting on the floor.Must respond quickly in emergencies and ensure child safety at all times.Professional Standards:As a NAEYC-aligned program, professional code of conduct and ethical behavior are expected at all times.Staff are expected to uphold the values of Little Scholars Academy with consistency and care.Other Duties:Perform any duties as assigned by the Site Director and Administration, including supporting other classrooms, participating in events, and assisting with program operations as needed.
