Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryAs an Infant Room Teacher, you will work alongside the lead teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged 8 weeks to 18 months. You will support daily classroom activities, assist with child care routines, and contribute to the overall development and well-being of the infants.Duties1. Assisting in Child Care and Development:- Support the lead teacher in providing attentive and loving care to infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met.- Assist with implementing age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skill development, language acquisition, and social interaction.2. Health and Safety:- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and licensing standards.- Assist with daily health checks and ensure proper hygiene practices are followed.3. Parent Communication:- Engage positively with parents/guardians during drop-off and pick-up times.- Provide updates on daily activities, routines, and any notable observations about each child's progress to the lead teacher.4. Collaboration with Team:- Work closely with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure smooth transitions, consistent care, and effective communication within the infant room.- Support in preparing and maintaining materials and equipment needed for daily activities.5. Documentation and Record-Keeping:- Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's daily activities, milestones, and observations.- Help prepare developmental assessments and progress reports as needed.6. Professional Development:- Participate actively in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance knowledge and skills related to early childhood education and infant care.- Seek opportunities for professional growth and development in collaboration with the lead teacher.Requirements- Required to have minimum High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferable.- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting is preferred.- Basic understanding of child development principles and best practices for infant care.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from the lead teacher.- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of infants.Working Conditions:- This position may involve standing, bending, lifting, and other physical activities associated with caring for infants.-Required to work full-time from 7:30am to 4:30pm.BenefitsWe offer competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
