Job DescriptionThis position is open to Alaska Residents only.Please check our residency definitionto determine if you qualify.The Alaska Department of Fish and Game Division of Commercial Fisheries is recruitingfor an Information Officer 1 located in Anchorage!What you will be doing:The Alaska Department of Fish and Game Division of commercial Fisheries is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated full time permanent Fish and Game Information Officer 1 to join our dynamic team at the Anchorage Commercial Fisheries Information this role you will work closely with the Information Officer 2 to support daily operations and serve as a key point of contact for the public. You will help maintain the flow of commercial fisheries information while providing essential administrative support to regional and field staff. This position offers unique opportunities to support projects in some of the most remote regions of Alaska and parts of Canada. We also provide information about commercial fisheries and fishery regulations to the general public and we strive to foster a better public understanding of Alaskas commercial fisheries. Daily work involves communicating with commercial fishing permit holders processors the public as a first point of contact and Fish and Game regional and area staff. This position also works closely with their supervisor and staff from other state agencies to help provide guidance to permit holders.
