Information Technology Application Specialist at Robert Half

We are seeking an IT Application Specialist with strong EHR/EMR experience to support, maintain, and optimize healthcare information systems. In this role, you will configure and administer key clinical and non-clinical applications, troubleshoot system issues, manage updates and upgrades, and serve as a technical resource for hospital staff and departments.Must Haves:3–5+ years of Healthcare IT experienceStrong Meditech (EHR) experienceExperience with HIS/HIT systems administrationProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsDay to Day:Support, manage, administer, and maintain healthcare IT applications and systems.Develop, document, and execute system maintenance and configuration procedures.Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches (including scripting/programming) for system administration and service improvements.Monitor systems and application logs; verify system integrity, performance, and server availability.Participate in project management and planning; develop and deliver training plans.Create reports, data extracts, and manage data uploads/downloads.Support data distribution (labor productivity, rosters, employee records, time & attendance).Assist with business intelligence and data analytics initiatives.Maintain vendor relationships; coordinate upgrades, updates, software plans, and report writing.Configure new services and document new features for end-user education.Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve stakeholder issues.Update staffing/scheduling settings, profiles, labor distributions, and support productivity goals.Resolve IT help desk tickets and incidents in a hospital environment.Perform ongoing performance tuning, system upgrades, and resource optimization.Train staff on new processes, onboard new users, and facilitate re-training sessions.Coordinate integration of data across systems; serve as SME for assigned applications.Analyze data flows to identify process improvement opportunities and maximize system feature benefits.
