Heres a sample Infrastructure Support Technician Job Description: Job Title: Infrastructure Support Technician Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Support Technician to join our IT team. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation maintenance and security of the organizations IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will diagnose and resolve technical issues assist with system upgrades and provide end-user support ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: System Support and Maintenance: Monitor troubleshoot and maintain servers networks and hardware to ensure optimal performance. Respond to incidents and requests resolving issues in a timely manner. Perform routine system checks updates and backups. Network Administration: Assist with the configuration and maintenance of LAN WAN and VPN connections. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure network security. Support the deployment and maintenance of network devices such as routers switches and firewalls. User Support: Provide technical support to end users for hardware software and network issues. Educate staff on best practices for system and data security. Maintain detailed documentation of technical support interactions. Infrastructure Projects: Assist in the implementation of infrastructure upgrades migrations and new technology rollouts. Participate in planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Compliance and Security: Ensure IT systems comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Regularly update security protocols and apply patches to prevent vulnerabilities. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in IT support systems administration or related roles. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware software and network issues. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows Linux macOS) and virtualization technologies. Familiarity with cloud services (e.g. Azure AWS) and IT service management tools. Basic understanding of scripting (e.g. PowerShell Python) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A Network or Security Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or related certifications ITIL Foundation certification Soft Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
