DescriptionWe are searching for an Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced this position you will appropriately diagnose and treat patients primarily between the ages of 0 21.Think youve got what it takesSchedule:Inpatient weekend coverage1 shift per weekIt will be primarily weekends inpatient coverage so they need to have advanced knowledge of dysphagia and acquired neurological deficits can work from newborns to 18Responsibilities:Performs patient evaluations/consultations and interprets resultsProvides results verbally to patient and/or family/caregiver and/or to referral sourceDevelops treatment plan in conjunction with patient and/or family/caregiverImplements treatment plan and monitors progress on an ongoing basisMaintains records as required by law IDS policy and administrative regulationsDocuments evaluation procedures results diagnoses and recommendationsAttends and participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain licensure and promote professional growthPromotes speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDSQualifications:Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology field of study requiredCCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association requireTX-SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation required2-year professional experience as SLP in pediatric setting (may include clinical fellowship but excludes training completed prior to completion of Masters degree) Preferred Experience:Experienced with management of complex pediatric dysphagiaFamiliarity with pediatric airway disorders including trach/ventAble to informally evaluate cognitive-linguistic deficitsStrong understanding of progression of oral feeding development from newborn to transitional feedersAble to collaborate and effectively communicate with members of medical teamMakes referrals for other evaluations as appropriate Key Skills Mac Os,Helpdesk,Fitness,E Learning,AC Maintenance,Arabic Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
