The Inside Sales Agronomist plays an important role in the NativeSeed Group mission. This is an inhouse position in Osborne, KS reporting to the Sales Manager and working closely with other Seed Sales Specialists.
Responsibilities
Agronomy Support
Work directly under the Sales Manager and directly with the sales team to promote sales by adding technical support to the sales team, dealers, and retail customers.
Work with walk in or will call customers to help them with the decision-making process in Ag Products.
Coordinate with dealers concerning booking seed, delivery scheduling, and customer support.
Product Support
Provide the Star Seed Sales team with "in-season" product information/inventory at in-person and virtual sales meetings.
Assist the Sales staff in order entry, reports, and cover crop quotes.
Work with Management team on Production decisions of varieties and species to grow and procure.
Expos and Educational Outreach
Work directly with Star Seed Sales and Marketing Manager to organize dealer outreach, promotional items, and price sheet distribution.
Attend and work the Star Seed booth, providing technical information at each of the Expos when Star Seed sponsors a booth.
Shipping and Logistics
Put together outside freight through 3rd party carriers and LTL companies.
Coordinate smaller parcel shipments through UPS and FedEx.
Assist our logistics team with in-house freight assignments.
Experience / Education and Skills Required
Agronomy Degree Required
Effective Communication skills
Exceptional Customer Service and Product Sales Experience
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
