Whether youre leading simulator sessions or pre-flight briefings youll inspire trust and mastery for the moments that matter.At CAE: All for the pursuit of aviation excellence.The instructor pilot will deliver ground school and simulator training during Initial Recurrent or specialty training courses to our customers. The ideal candidate will focus on customer progress and performance with a tailored approach to specific training that includes lesson planning classroom and simulator set-up and upkeep of current publications and training materials. Travel may be required on an occasional basisDuties and ResponsibilitiesAs an Instructor Pilot provide standardized training in the classroom and/or simulator (unless specifically requires the aircraft) for the following events:Captain UpgradesInitial/Recurrent TrainingPIC/SIC EvaluationsDifferences TrainingRemedial TrainingEnforce company standards by teaching and requiring others to fly by set standards of service and safetyStrong interpersonal verbal/written listening and presentation skills are necessary to effectively teach required subjects and provide constructive feedbackPossess the skills to properly judge and evaluate pilot performance and willing to accurately and impartially judge and evaluateConduct ground and simulator training for customersThe successful candidate must be able to keep accurate records complete proper paperwork and submit required documents to the company in a timely mannerEvaluate customers progress in gaining skills and knowledge by the standards established at CAE x SIMCOMServe as a liaison between the customers and the training center managers.If authorized as TCE for CAE x SIMCOM conduct Proficiency Checks and Certification Checks as authorized under FAR 135/142Assist/Define customer training requirements through participation in training conferences meetingsMaintain competency and qualifications authorized to instructMaintain a high level of professionalismPerform other related duties and assignments as requiredEducation & ExperienceHold or meets qualifications to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Type RatingPrevious SFI or EASA experience requiredA passion for teaching othersthrough strong communication skillsBasic computer proficiency Microsoft Office and other internet-based programsMust participate in CAEs DOT Drug & Alcohol testing programExperience flying business aircraft is a plusMust be authorized to live/work in the United StatesSuccessful candidate will hold an above average knowledge of: Applicable Regulations Flight Operations Manuals Operations Specifications Crewmember Standard Operating Procedures Aircraft Systems Aircraft Performance and Company Policies and ProceduresThe ideal candidate should also possess:Excellent Fluency in English through both verbal and written communications; able to speak understand read and writeMust be an excellent listener and presenter in order to meet and exceed the Customers expectations during the training processGeneral knowledge of: MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Database: MS Access preferredAbility to work in a team environment and support cultural diversityCustomer service orientedPhysical Environment/Working ConditionsDual environment setting: Office and Simulator.
