Pack weigh and label completed parts for shipments or storage.Key Job ResponsibilitiesThese describe the job dutiesDescription of ResponsibilitySelect order based on priority provided by area lead or supervisor. Inspect and Package parts according to documented procedures set in place. Inspect parts for non-conforming specification outside of blueprint provided in work order packet. Document any Non-Conforming parts and notify area Lead or Supervisor. Visually inspect parts as you package using rubber bands and/or packing paper weigh count box and strap. Separate scrap and dispose of in proper container. Use computer workstation to clock on or off work order . Make boxes and print labels for completed work orders.Key Job AccountabilitiesThese describe the job dutiesDescription of AccountabilityCommitment to working safely and understand all safety procedures. Inspector/Packer responsible for following control plan assuring product is processed/inspected according to proper routings specifications and that the quantity and style are correct. Work to meet daily departmental production goals. Must be reliable and dependable. Communicate safety quality product issues with supervisor team members and across shifts. Interpersonal skills with good communication working in a team environment.Education and ExperienceMust have High School diploma or GED. 1 year relevant work experience preferred.Work EnvironmentWorking in environments with varying temperatures and exposure to noise may be required. Some environments may include controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required: Safety glasses with side-shields safety shoes gloves and cut resistant gloves when necessary.Physical DemandsApproximately eight (8) or twelve (12) hours with scheduled break periods. Standing intermittent walking reaching sitting bending and lifting product weighing no more than thirty-three (33) pounds. Use of hands and fingers for fine motor tasks to operate machinery and handle tools safely. Visual acuity is necessary for reading gauges inspecting products and ensuring quality standards. Physical stamina and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks are essential.Problem SolvingProcess orders by due date. Follow process documents and inspection standards. Assignments and instructions communicated orally and carried out by standing guidelines. Must inspect and modify tooling as required. Moderate to complex problems solved by operator using learned knowledge of insert style production processes and in some cases coordination with technical experts inside and outside of the plant.
