Install and Service Technician

Location: Midwest Security Systems Inc.

Job Type:

Full Time Technician, Monday-Friday.

May require overtime on certain shifts.

Travel required. 75%-100% of the month. Weekends Off.

Pay Rate:

Negotiable based on experience.

Guaranteed salary plus overtime.

Yearly bonus based on performance.

Job Description:

Troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain access control systems, locking devices, and IP video surveillance.

Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical wiring to connect components.

Services and supports existing customers by responding to service calls and carrying out Customer Support Programs.

Stay informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts.

Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

Physical Demands: Physical demands must be met for the employee to perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee will be required to:

Climb ladders, carry, and pull spools of wire.

Hang equipment on walls.

Lift up to 50 pounds with frequent prolonged periods of standing, bending, pulling, twisting, reaching, climbing, and standing.

Vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision to adjust focus.

The employee may be exposed to extreme weather conditions.

Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record for vehicle operation.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Previous experience preferred with IP Video Surveillance and Access Control

Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks

Willing to train the right candidate with no experience in the industry

Ability to develop basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.

Personable, outgoing personality.
