Job Description
Position Summary The Install & Service Technician will install and repair the products offered by SG Architectural Solutions in an efficient safe and professional manner. The Technician will receive instruction from the Project Manager or Service Manager before arriving at a job site and should perform limited coordination activities once on the job site. Responsibilities Perform installations of Smoke Guard equipment.Perform repairs and replacement of Smoke GuardComplete and submit daily reports and warranty work reports thoroughly and onParticipate in fire inspections including testing equipment and providing product documentation to customers.Responsible for any on site field coordination with other trades that was not captured in the Job Walk (ex. Coordination with electricians/superintendents detailing any power needs or coordination with the drywall team to explain/detail unit housing needs).Work efficiently to minimize mobilizations/windshield time.Attend and actively participate in required safety trainings at SG Solutions or on project job sites.Notify management of issues or potential issues on job sites and address as needed.Ensure that Smoke Guard employee interactions on job sites are professional and respectful at all times and maintain good working relationships with site superintendents and other trades.This role may require other job duties to be performed. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by the personnel in this role.Qualifications (Knowledge & Skills)Ability to gain in-depth technical knowledge of Smoke Guard products and perform troubleshooting and repair work on them.Ability to read building specifications blueprints and as-builds.Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools and ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.Ability to work under minimal supervision to complete work on time and according to quality standards.Ability to carry and lift heavy objects (50lbs) walk and stand for long periods of time.Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Experience2 years of experience as an Installer Repair Technician or similar role2 years of experience in the Construction industryWork Environment Physical Conditions: Construction: This position requires the ability to work in typical construction work environments and utilize the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e.: hard hat eye/face protection hearing protection steel toes etc.Other RequirementsCandidates who receive an offer of employment must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.Travel: This position requires frequent travel within the Texas territory (in and around Austin and San Antonio metro areas).This role requires driving for the Company so candidates who receive an offer of employment for this role must have a current Texas drivers license and have a clean MVR.Must be able to reach bend kneel and crouch occasionally.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Mechanic Experience,Pest Control,Customer Service,Hand Tools,HVAC,Mechanical Knowledge,Automotive Repair,Service Technician Experience,Maintenance,Heavy Lifting,Equipment Repair,Troubleshooting Employment Type : Full-Time Department / Functional Area: Engineering Experience: years Vacancy: 1
