Check out our candidates' success stories!Position: ParaprofessionalRate: $20 to $22 per hourFocused Staffing Group is seeking experienced Paraprofessionals to support teachers in educating, motivating, and inspiring students at our partner school.Qualification/RequirementsTwo years of college or high school graduate preferredParaeducator training preferredCPR/First Aid certificationAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with all constituents (administrators, colleagues, students, parents, and others).Current police, child abuse, FBI, and Act 24 checks (required)General Duties and Responsibilities:The Paraeducator supports a certified teacher with preparing instructional materials, implementing lesson plans, reinforcing instruction/tutoring, monitoring student behavior, and documenting student progress throughout the school day.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Actively assist in implementing lesson plans, reinforcing, instruction/tutoring, and documenting student progress of assigned students throughout the school day.Observe, monitor, and redirect the behavior of assigned students during regular classroom time, special class times, transition periods, and field trips according to school and program procedures.Maintain accurate records on student progress and behavior for school programs and outside agencies as required.Assist the teacher with testing, recordkeeping, and progress monitoring for assigned students.Under the teacher’s direction, communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress. Participate in interdisciplinary and inter-agency meetings as required.Flexibility with additional needs that may arise based on individual casesProvide a nurturing environment for all students. Enforce school policies and procedures fairly and consistently to ensure all students' health and safety. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.Maintains a professional, confidential, and ethical relationship with colleagues, students, and parents.Attends and actively participates in all faculty meetings, in-service meetings, and other meetings at all times.Remains educationally informed in all related areas including PDE regulations and state/national standards through continued professional study and attending workshops and conferences.Performs related duties, special assignments, and projects as assigned.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: In person
