PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 11215 WEST LEWIS STPASCO WASHINGTON 99301PHONE Open Date:Wednesday 11/26/2025 Application Deadline/Close Date:Wednesday 12/03/2025 at 4:00pmPOSITION: Instructional Paraeducator - CTE School Store/Foods LabLOCATION: Pasco High SchoolHOURS: 7.50 hours per day Monday-Friday 180-day calendarSALARY: $21.38 - $23.72 Salary Schedules AA Degree - $0.50/hour extra BA Degree $0.75/hour extraNEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENINGESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain accurate inventory records.Assist with completion of daily reports record keeping and/or maintenance of inventories.Assist with purchasing items for store foods classes and/or commercial kitchen.Participate in special projects that support CTE efforts and promote CTE classes.Provide exemplary customer service and responsiveness.Provide daily assistance for classroom food supplies store inventory and/or banking as needed.Input orders requests and/or information into computerized point-of-sale system.Assist in operation and maintenance of store espresso cart vending machines store computers and/or electronic records.Assist with reporting misconduct on school property and/or school bus route(s).Attend and complete annual required training hours for paraeducator certification.Translate verbal and/or written information for the purpose of assisting students district personnel parents and/or guardians. (Bilingual only).Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.Assists with supervision of students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.Provide direction to students in group and/or individual activities under teacher guidance.NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish)preferred but not required.Must meet one or more of the following:Associates degree (AAS AA) or higher;Earned 72 college quarter credits or 48 semester credits in college level 100 or higher courses;Passing score onthe Educational Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment.Prior paraeducator experience college or on-the job experience preferred but not required.Experience working with students who are special needs preferred but not required.Valid First aid and/or CPR card for infants and children or willing to obtain.Prior experience in a high school setting preferred but not required.Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain.Valid Drivers License and transportation.Prior accounting and/or inventory control or willingness to be trained.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of general office equipment such as computers copiers laminators telephones scanners paper cutters cash registers and/or step ladders.Knowledge in proper use of English in both written and verbal forms use of correct grammar spelling and punctuation.Maintain detailed and accurate records.Skill in operating standard office equipment including basic computer applications.Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.Understand and conduct verbal and written instruction.Knowledge of general cleaning supplies and usages.Ability to establish a plan to address student behavior.Ability to communicate clearly work effectively with staff students and/or building guests.Ability to follow safe work practices procedures and work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality.Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled.NOTICE OF NONDISCRIMINATION: Pasco School District does not discriminate in any programs or activities on the basis of sex race creed age religion color national origin veteran or military status sexual orientation gender expression or identity disability or the use of trained guide dog or service animal.
