Position: Long Term Substitute Instructional Technology TeacherPosition Type: Temporary anticipated December 18 2025 through January 28 2026Location: Lincoln Street Elementary Complex (.6 FTE)Washington Street Elementary Complex(.4 FTE)Reports to: Building PrincipalSalary: $200.00 per dayGeneral Description:Franklin Public Schools is seeking an energetic creative and innovative Long Term Substitute Instructional Technology Teacher to provide effective instruction aligned to K-5 DLCS Curriculum Frameworks and to work collaboratively for the purposes of enhancing and improving DLCS curriculum implementation. Overview of Responsibilities:Responsible for delivering instruction aligned to Digital Learning Computer Science Curriculum FrameworksPlans a program of study that as muc.h as possible meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons units and projects to communicate these objectives to students.Works with all students grades K-5Regularly assess student learning through both formative and summative assessmentsMaintains classroom environment conducive to learningWill take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment and materials within the instructional technology classroomWorks collaboratively with colleaguesAssist in the testing of software and hardware in educational environmentsEnhance collaborative approaches that support new instructional methodologiesAssist in the development implementation of district curriculaEnrich educational practices and programsMaintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.Strives to maintain and improve professional competence. Qualifications Required:Bachelors Degree required.Instructional Technology Specialist Licensure or equivalentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively with students staff and administratorsComfortable providing professional development in a various formatsStrong organizational skills flexibility and dependabilityExcellent classroom management skills.Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and national fingerprinting screening (CHRI).
