Pay Range: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour

Summary:
Job Summary:
The instructor contributes to the academic mission by delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in curriculum development, and supporting student success. Instructors are assigned specific courses based on their expertise and experience and are responsible for the preparation and delivery of lectures, labs, student advising, and assessment activities. Annual responsibilities are determined by the Department Chair or Program Director, based on program needs. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in a health-related or relevant field
•Relevant professional experience in the candidate’s field of expertise (e.g., clinical, administrative, or applied work).
•Foundational teaching experience (e.g., guest lectures, labs, course assistant) with demonstrated potential for effective teaching and instructional design.
•Demonstrated potential for effective teaching and instructional design.
•Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technologies.
•Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
•Ability to mentor and support students effectively.
•Willingness to participate in college and university service.
•Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Familiarity with accreditation standards for health sciences programs

•Teach assigned courses including lectures, labs, and practical instruction as applicable.
•Develop and maintain course content in alignment with current accreditation standards and best practices in health sciences education.
•Design instructional materials, assessments, and learning activities to support student outcomes.
•Provide academic advising and mentorship to students throughout the program.
•Participate in student recruitment and admissions activities, including interview days and information sessions.
•Serve on program, college, or university committees assigned.
•Contribute to curriculum improvement and course evaluation efforts.
•Engage in professional development to remain current in the field and with instructional methods.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair or Program Director.
