We seek faculty applicants whose lived experiences, community connections, and scholarly credentials prepare them to provide transformational education for our students and our region.Successful candidates will teach the majority of their courses in the first-year writing program where we have particular interest in hiring faculty with experience, expertise, and passion in one or more of the following specialties:Linguistic diversity, antiracist composition, rhetorical sovereignty, multilingual writersReflective writing, teaching for transfer, metacognitionSuccessful candidates can expect to teach approximately 9 courses per year (on PCC’s quarter system), based at one of PCC’s four campuses. PCC’s courses are offered in a variety of modalities. Successful candidates should expect to teach a majority of their course load fully in-person. Placement at a higher step may be possible based upon additional experience and internal equity.
