Department InformationThe Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX (CRC) are responsible for carrying out Colorado State University Pueblos commitment to prevent prohibited discrimination protected class harassment sexual misconduct intimate partner violence stalking and retaliation towards faculty staff students or campus visitors. CRC provides leadership in developing implementing and monitoring CSU Pueblos equal opportunity and affirmative action (EO/AA) compliance obligations. The office is responsible for the oversight and investigation of complaints of discrimination protected class harassment sexual misconduct intimate partner violence stalking and retaliation prohibited under university policy.Description of JobThe Intake and Support Specialist assists the Director of Civil Rights Compliance & Title IX Coordinator in providing intake and administrative support for equal opportunity/affirmative action needs including but not limited to compliance with Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act Title IX of the Education Amendments the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 503/504 of the Rehabilitation Act the Age Discrimination Act the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act and Executive Order 11246 as amended. To that end the Intake and Support Specialist serves as the primary intake recipient and case manager of student faculty and staff inquiries or complaints of harassing behavior other discriminatory behavior Title IX violations sexual misconduct or issues related to EO/AA policies and procedures. Additionally the Intake and Support Specialist will be responsible for coordinating campus prevention and outreach events throughout the academic year. Primary DutiesReceive and process inquiries about harassing behavior other discriminatory behavior Title IX violations sexual misconduct or issues related to EO/AA policies and procedures. Create organize and maintain files and other compiled records using Maxient (case management database).Assess and implement requests for supportive measures including but not limited to accommodations for academics housing counseling no contact orders and other measures required to lessen the impact of bias discrimination relationship violence stalking sexual misconduct or pregnancy and related conditions.Collaborate with the Title IX Investigator to coordinate and conduct training and educational programs for the campus community related to rights and responsibilities under Title IX as well as the services and grievance procedures available to them and coordinate training to all employees concerning EO/AA and Title IX. Create and distribute educational materials including brochures posters web-based materials etc. to inform campus members of rights responsibilities and resources both internal and external to campus. Collaborate with internal and external constituents to provide accurate information to the campus community. Coordinate and plan awareness month activities and tabling for the campus community.
