The Lockheed Martin Space team in Littleton, CO (Deer Creek) seeks a level 2 Program Planner to support the Conventional Prompt Strike Program within its Strategic Missile Defense Line of Business that will have the size and scope to offer valuable career development experiences. Summary of Key Duties: In this role you will
- Serve as the responsible Planner for a specific IPT on the program
- Develop, manage, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in order to monitor progress, assess program status, and identify performance issues in a timely manner
- Ensure established program baseline control processes are followed and oversee business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses and forecasting goals
- Use critical path methodology, risk analysis, and problem resolution to mitigate delays/issues that arise, communicate schedule impacts and propose corrective actions to applicable program partners
- Synchronize cost/schedule integration in support of Earned Value requirements and generate schedule metrics and reports related to the implementation of the Program
- Schedule presentations which may include Program Management, Executive Management, or Customer Stakeholders
- Establish and conduct data and process quality assessments of planning products and prepare for surveillance reviews to ensure compliance with program performance management
- Develop recovery plans to ensure program milestones are completed in accordance with the contract requirements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and coordinate vertical and horizontal schedule integration between supplemental schedules, the IMS, and the Program Summary Master Schedule
Desired skills:
- Master's degree from an accredited college in an Engineering, STEM, or Business related degree
- Active Secret clearance
- 3+ years of experience in planning or program management related discipline within the aerospace/defense industry
- Exposure to Network scheduling software (MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera, etc)
- Critical Path Scheduling methodology
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance
- Integrated Master Plan (IMP) knowledge
- Production / Sustainment / Depot Operations
- Earned Value Management
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Development Proposal knowledge
- Advanced Excel skill set including macros, lookup tables and VBA
- Exposure to Schedule Risk Assessment process/software
- Ability to communicate utilizing different techniques and develop meaningful relationships
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability
