DescriptionIn this position ...We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Supplier Quality Black Belt Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in resolving Fords most significant supplier process warranty issues. This pivotal role involves collaborating with product development manufacturing suppliers Ford technical specialists and Fords problem-solving experts. You will be instrumental in driving systemic improvements and ensuring robust quality throughout our supply chain.This position offers significant growth potential including the opportunity to develop into a Master Black Belt as you gain experience and enhance your problem-solving expertise.ResponsibilitiesWhat will you do ...Develop Expertise:Enhance your problem-solving capabilities through Fords comprehensive Strategic Problem Solving 3x5 Why and 6 Sigma Black Belt methodologies. You will utilize advanced tools such as Minitab graphical and statistical analysis warranty systems and other software to become an excellent problem solver and leader.Identify and Prioritize Issues:Leverage Fords warranty systems and other databases to identify the most critical quality issues using data to determine contrasts and drive the problem-solving process effectively.Apply Strategic Problem Solving:Implement strategic problem-solving techniques to determine the underlying physics chemistry electricity or other mechanisms causing failures and drive issues to definitive resolution.Utilize 6-Sigma Skills:Apply a broad range of 6-Sigma tools including Measurement Systems Analysis process capability studies hypothesis tests pairwise comparisons Design of Experiments (DOE) Multi-vary analysis multiple regression and reliability analysis to conduct tests and analyze complex data sets.Drive Root Cause Analysis:Employ the 3x5 Why process to identify systemic root causes and implement sustainable systemic improvements.Travel:This role requires significant travel upwards of 50% to supplier sites and other Ford facilities.QualificationsYoull have...Bachelor of Science/ Engineering or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitudeDemonstrated ability to take initiative and lead cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Manufacturing experience and the ability to apply GEMBA tools effectively to resolve quality issues.A passion for quality and the ability to train on quality tools and coach others to improve quality performance.Even better you may have...Bachelor of Engineering degree.
