As our Project Assistant Civil Engineering and Geographical Information Science (GIS) Support Intern in Columbus OH. You will be responsible for supporting ENGIEs Capital Projects and Operations team concentrated on lifecycle and expansion projects for The Ohio State Universitys Utility System.Every day you will assist the capital projects team as assigned. Areas of possible work assignments include job site visits during active construction monitoring progress developing reports and organizing data. Additional assignments could include collecting and compiling spatial data into a relational database assisting in the development of an imagery database and building custom maps to assist project team and project development. You will report to the GIS Analyst. The internship work term will be approximately January 6 2026 - May 30 2026.What Youll BringYou are a Sophomore Junior or Senior pursuing a major in Civil Engineering or Geographical Information Science at The Ohio State UniversityYou can handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracyAdditional DetailsThis role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basisMust possess a valid U.S. drivers license; might drive company vehicleMust be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policiesThis position consists of 50% of outdoor work while performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to weather conditions10 hours per week minimum; additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisorYou have the ability to communicate effectively both written and verballyYou are proficient with Microsoft Word Excel and GIS SoftwareWork environment characteristics include the access of construction sites under variable outdoor conditionsVisits to work sites include mandatory personal protective equipment as required and supplied by ENGIECompensationHourly Range: $24.50 to $25.50 USD hourlyThis represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.Actual offered salary may depend on geography experience industry knowledge education internal pay alignment or other bona fide factors.ENGIE complies with all federal state and local minimum wage laws.
