Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Safety and Quality Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols and quality assurance systems within a manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products meet quality standards and that employees work in a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace. The role supports continuous improvement efforts and regulatory compliance throughout the plant.Roles/Responsibilities:SafetyDevelop and enforce health and safety programs in accordance with OSHA and local regulatory requirements.Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment, tools, and workstations.Lead accident and near-miss investigations; maintain incident reports and recommend corrective actions.Provide safety training and toolbox talks to manufacturing personnel.Monitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) policies.Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials documentation.QualityAssist in implementing and maintaining quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).Conduct in-process and final product inspections using various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).Monitor production lines for adherence to quality standards and document non-conformances.Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation preparation.Train production staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality practicesQualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Associate or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a safety and/or quality role within a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, lean manufacturing principles, and ISO/IATF standards.Strong proficiency in quality inspection tools, methods, and techniques.Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality/safety management software.Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable.Possesses strong knowledge of manufacturing/ production product operational process.
