Overview The Fraud Operations Recovery team focuses on investigating and resolving fraudulent debit and credit card transactions reported by our members. The investigators responsibilities include validating claims, processing chargebacks, responding to merchant disputes, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The main goal of the team is to recover as much of the fraudulent funds as we can. ***A requirement of this position is you must be currently enrolled in college level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the duration of the internship. Please upload your transcripts by adding them to the "Intern Proof of Enrollment" section of the application.Responsibilities Provide support to assigned department; may work on small projects or portions of larger projectsSupport business strategy and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organizationAssist and collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignmentsPerform research and analysis; may include quantitative and/or qualitative analysisMaintain professionalism in all interactions, placing member service as priorityProvide comprehensive day-to-day operational supportProvide support in functional areas of the credit unionMay provide direct member service in high volume situationsProcess and update data in automated systems; may generate and analyze reportsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications Junior/Senior undergraduate or master's level student working towards a bachelor's degree in business administration, statistics, or related fieldPreferred internship analyst or full-time experience in data analysis and reportingAbility to exercise initiative and good judgment to make sound decisionsAbility to adapt to new technologiesAbility to provide exceptional customer serviceAbility to work independently and in a team environmentDesired - Communication with impact and be committed to self-developmentEffective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsEffective research, analytical, and problem solving skillsEffective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlinesEffective word processing and spreadsheet software skillsEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsResearch skillsInterpersonal skillsAbout Us Navy Federal provides much more than a job.
