Location: Kayenta Health Center Kayenta, AZ Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (No weekends, no call) Contract Length: Ongoing (with option to extend) About the Opportunity Kayenta Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care to adult patients in a rural, underserved Native American community in Northern Arizona. This is a mission-driven role offering a predictable weekday schedule and a supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct outpatient internal medicine care. Conduct comprehensive exams and diagnostic assessments. Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans. Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic regimens. Collaborate with nurses, behavioral health providers, and specialists. Document patient encounters in the EHR. Participate in quality assurance and clinical team meetings. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited institution. Completion of Internal Medicine residency. Board Certified or Board Eligible. Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Current DEA license. Minimum 2 years of internal medicine experience preferred. Experience with Native American or underserved populations is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive daily/hourly rate (DOE). Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided.
