Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWho We Are: The Children's Home of Wyoming Conference partners with children, families and communities throughout New York State to inspire hope, develop skills and cultivate healthy relationships for positive futures.$21-23 an hourPosition Summary: The Foster Care Home Finder/Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and assessing potential foster homes, which consists of training and case management of the certification process. Our Home Finders ensure that every child in foster care has a safe, healthy and nurturing foster home. The individual in this position will also be required to maintain each certified foster home, including recertifying each home; ensuring agency and state standards are met within their licensure.Responsibilities:Participate in developing an active recruitment plan for recruiting foster parents.Handle inquiries and applications from potential foster parents.Facilitate all orientation meetings with potential foster parents and complete home studies for all recommended foster homes.Complete all paperwork for the certification process.Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and timely written reports on all homes on case load.Assist and support foster parents in meeting challenges and achieving success, through participation in administrative meetings, referral for additional services, or other interventions, as necessary.Act as point of contact for all the foster families on assigned work load.RequirementsEducation:Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field requiredExperience:2 years of experience with child welfare, social work, or similar experience requiredDriver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required​BenefitsBenefits available to all staff:Student Loan and Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Discounts at the Southern Tier Community CenterOpportunities for Professional DevelopmentFull Time Benefits:Agency-Paid CEUs, License Prep Course, and License Exam403(b) with 6% employer contributionPTO plus 9 paid holidaysChildcare ReimbursementHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance (with HSA/FSA Accounts)Life InsuranceEEO Statement: The Children's Home is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
