Assistant Project Manager (Client Opportunity) at Progressive Design

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProgressive Design, Inc. is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a large engineering consulting firm working on transmission/solar work in Virginia (for a large energy company).  This is a full time position that is located in Richmond, VA.  Position will require travel throughout the state of Virginia alongside the Project Manager.  Candidate will begin as Assistant Project Manager and typically after a year move into a Project Manager role where this individual will also train a succeeding Assistant Project Managers. This is a development program where this individual will build a foundational understanding of project management and following the minimum two year commitment, will have opportunities to continue in Project Management or leverage their learnings to support their ensuing engineering or construction career. Key Responsibilities:Working directly under the Project Managers concerning project details and deliverablesAssisting in the planning and implementation of multiple projects at onceHelping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverablesSupporting the development and management of scope, schedule and project budgetsConducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings, drafting invoices and drawing estimatesTracking and reporting project progressMaintain a strong line of communication with all team members on projectsMinimum Requirements:BS degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent multitasking skillsAbility to work under pressure with minimal supervisionExcellent problem-solving skillsDetail orientated and highly organizedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Benefits:We offer a fast paced, exciting work environment with a competitive compensation package including: Medical Benefits, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, 401K match and tuition reimbursement. Powered by JazzHRVY3cUnlbXw
