For assistance on how to apply please click hereJob Description:Position OverviewThe International Containers Logistics Specialist position is responsible for logistical coordination of a relatively complex scope of responsibility is to build out process and aid in the growth of our foreign-to-foreign commodity program for cashew and coconut. This includes the development and maintenance of existing processes to set a foundation for growth. This position will collaborate closely with the lead trader brokers suppliers vendors and customers.Key Responsibilities Assist the trader in executing and processing commodity trades ensuring timely and accurate entry into trading systems (contracts addendum etc..) as well as logistical supportImplement and monitor movement and shipping activities which optimize fleet utilization and fulfill ordersMonitor and reconcile trade discrepancies ensuring all trades are accurately reflected in LMSProvide customer assistance in processing of orders/deals convey pertinent information throughout the process monitor shipments movement and address customer inquiries as to status or issue resolutionMonitor market trends and provide relevant information to inform trading decisions by engaging with internal and external counterpartsEnsure all trade documentation including confirmations and contracts is accurately maintained and compliant with company policyGenerate and distribute weekly reports on trading activities positions and performance metricsCross-check invoices with accounting team and follow-up outstanding paymentsProcess specialty documentation setsBuild forwarder network at origin and assist in negotiation with freight providers for new lanes and ratesWhat is expected of you and others at this levelPerforms routine entry-level assignmentsKnowledge and exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts gained through education and/or experienceDevelops competence by performing structured work assignmentsUses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problemsReceives instruction guidance and directionMinimum Qualifications & SkillsBachelors Degree required or the equivalent in work experience1-3 years relevant experience requiredInternational logistics experience strongly preferredStrong quantitative skillset requiredThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
