A Day in The Life:
The Commercial Intern will manage and build distributor relationships, educate and motivate distributor reps to gain new distribution, build volume in existing accounts, execute at the chain level within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, revenue-focused individual who can quickly establish relationships for a growth-oriented sales strategy.
The Impact You'll Make:
Assist in running sales reports and compiling PPT presentations
Shadow Field Sales Representatives in surveying accounts
Survey accounts to determine SKU availability, display and ad execution, and merchandising standards (location, POS, etc); sell in new items when/where appropriate
Survey full shelf accounts for compliance; survey for execution on promotions
Perform resets as directed by distributors (new shelf programs, launching new SKUs, moving to better location, etc) to bring accounts up to Monster standards
Participate in local BU Market Blitz activities
Merchandise (pack out shelf and install POS) in all accounts visited
Place Monster identified POS and equipment as directed by BU management and distributors
Ride with Monster and distributor sales personnel to help maintain higher focus for day on Monster products
Provide assistance with BU office/warehouse duties (i.e. organization, taking inventory, etc.)
Who You Are:
Working towards a degree in Business Administration or related field of study
Basic computer operating skills in and outside of an office environment to include handheld devices
Solid organizational and time management abilities, along with the ability to act independently
Ability to drive and maintain an assigned Company vehicle and to travel to and within territories as assigned. Occasional travel outside the assigned territory may be required
Ability to perform physical activities required by the job duties including occasionally lifting and moving up to 65 pounds individually and greater weights with assistance; ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical acts associated with selling, demonstrating, and marketing product in an assigned territory
Ability to successfully meet standards of physical examinations and substance abuse testing, if required.
