Pay Grade: 63 ($2803.00 - $3082.00) (Position# 328162)See Below for Job DescriptionMigrant RecruiterJob DescriptionGeneral Statement of Job:Recruit eligible migrant families in Lenoir and Greene Counties and provide services for them in accordance with all applicable federal statutes regulations and the project application. Report to the director of federal programs.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Identify eligible migrant families and out-of-school youth in Lenoir and Greene CountiesComplete and maintain all required documentation on eligible families and out-of-school youthAssist families and out-of-school youth in locating available community resourcesMaintain accurate data as required by applicable federal statues and regulationsAssist migrant students by helping to ensure that these students academic and supplemental needs are met and that migrant children receive full and appropriate opportunities to meet the same challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards that all children are expected to meetInterpret (English to Spanish; Spanish to English) for migrant familiesAdditional Job Functions or Assigned Tasks:Attend district state and national meetings as requested in order to keep abreast of the latest trends policies and recruitment strategies for migrant recruitersOther tasks as assigned by the director of federal programsMinimum Training and Experience:High school diploma (or equivalent) required two-year associates degree or higher preferredAbility to interpret (Spanish to English; English to Spanish) required; ability to translate (Spanish to English; English to Spanish) preferredMinimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:Other Requirements:Ability to get along with and relate to all publics especially the Hispanic-Latino populationWillingness to work nights and weekendsDependable private transportationAbility to work independentlyDisclaimer:The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
