Interventional Radiology Physical AssistantDistrict Medical Group (DMG) is well known as a respected leader in the healthcare industry in the Phoenix area, with a reputation for outstanding leadership, innovation and dedication to the patients and communities we serve. DMG employs over 650 credentialed providers and more than 350 professional/administrative staff as one of the largest physician groups in the Valley.DMG is actively recruiting for an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant to join our Radiology Department based at Valleywise Health Medical Center. The IR PA serves as a physician assistant to assist in the performance of direct patient care by collaborating with referring physicians, interactions with allied hospital staff, and with patients (inpatient/outpatient) to enhance the section’s clinical presence and to work within a multidisciplinary team.Responsibilities include:Order laboratory and radiographic studies and consult other services as appropriateConduct outpatient and inpatient direct patient care via obtaining history and performing physical examinations, pre- and post-procedural evaluations with documentation, obtaining informed consents, doing consultations and performing inpatient rounds.Take medical histories, perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses and evaluate patients in the IR Clinic.Develop and manage patient care plans; document progress; assist with follow-ups.Help develop, review and manage referrals and perform comprehensive workupsField phone calls or use other means of communication with patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals, regarding the coordination of patient carePotential for tele-medicine or virtual health visitsPotential to evaluate patients at other Valleywise outpatient sitesHandle patient and provider communications regarding care coordination using strong communication skills.Educate patients about their conditions, medical care and treatments, to assist with patient education, follow up and to perform discharge notes.Become proficient with Epic EMRBe able to order medications and prescriptionsParticipate in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care and potentially assist with training of other health care team membersParticipate as needed with clinical researchPotential to perform minor proceduresPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Interventional Radiology, Surgery, or Emergency Medicine preferredGraduate of an ARC-accredited PA programDMG continuously strives for and succeeds in providing a strong and positive work environment through employee appreciation, team collaboration, competitive compensation, mentoring, and great benefits including:A strong healthcare package inclusive of medical, dental, vision – eligible DAY ONEA rich 401(k) with employer match, increasing annually up to 6%Four weeks PTO + 10 paid holidaysOne week of CME with allowancePaid Sick Timeand moreFor consideration forward CV to: [email protected]  EOE
