Inventory Clerk- Central Store Attendant at Quad
Job Description
We are currently hiring an Inventory Specialist for our Martinsburg, WV location! The Inventory Specialist/Central Store Attendant is an integral part of the Central Stores team whose mission statement is to have the Right Parts in the Right Quantity at the Right Time. Our priority is controlling our inventory to have what we need to keep our business running.
The Central Store Attendant is responsible for performing daily storeroom tasks to support Manufacturing and Maintenance operational needs. This role involves following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure accurate completion of storeroom tasks and monitoring parts inventory by performing accurate counts, processing shipments and returns, and ensuring efficient material flow throughout the facility. Working hours are flexible, preferably 7 AM- 3 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Support
- Demonstrate teamwork, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn and follow established processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improvement ideas when possible.
Storeroom Operations
- Perform daily storeroom tasks such as putting parts away, labeling, counting, receiving, shipping, returns and transfers.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions.
- Report any discrepancies, inventory issues, or system errors to supervisor for resolution.
- Support plant teams by fulfilling part requests and communicating status updates as needed.
- Attend team meetings when required to stay informed on priorities and upcoming needs.
- Assist with maintaining catalog accuracy through basic ATC/ICC updates under guidance.
- Help identify parts using catalog tools and support internal customers with simple part lookups.
- Assist with setting up new items and updating Min/Max levels as directed.
- Support repair processing, supplier quote collection, and kit building following established SOPs.
- Perform regular cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Order items for stock.
- Identify, correct, and report discrepancies to Lead to ensure data integrity.
- Use catalog web search tools for part identification and cross-referencing.

Physical Demand Requirements:
- Manual Dexterity: Work requires definite, skilled, and accurate physical operations requiring some closely coordinated performance.
- Physical Effort: Work requires handling materials with some special exertion. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform manual tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Working Conditions: Ordinary office, shop, or warehouse working conditions. Some dusty environments and/or temperature fluctuations. Also, conditions may require hearing protection, safety shoes, and safety glasses.
- Hazards: Some hazardous material handling
Typical mid-level pay: $43k for Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Clerks nationally
