Inventory Clerk - PM

We are seeking two dedicated Inventory Clerks for our 2nd shift (1:00pm - 9:30pm). Initially, you will train on the 5:00am - 1:30pm shift for a two-month period, after which you will transition to the swing shift. This role involves working in the warehouse, ensuring the accuracy of storage locations through finished goods and raw material counts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct finished goods and raw material counts to ensure storage locations are accurate.
• Perform daily reconciliation of inventory and investigate discrepancies.
• Engage in core warehouse work processes such as receiving, picking, shipping, and custom packaging.
• Understand and implement inventory concepts like FEFO (first-expired-first-out) and FIFO (first-in-first-out).
• Monitor and manage short shelf life, expired, and slow-moving inventory.
• Take ownership of mock recalls and product withdrawals, tracking product lot codes and transactions.
• Maintain the cycle count schedule and prioritize issues causing inventory discrepancies.
• Identify, investigate, and perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory management and control.
• Experience with cycle counts and data entry.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory processes, shipping, and receiving.
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Capability to perform monthly variance analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience using a vehicle mounted unit/scanning.
• Proficiency with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Experience in creating reports using Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Physical ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Minimum of 12 to 18 months of relevant experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a room temperature environment within an office setting, closely collaborating with the inventory manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
