JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports To: Harvest Manager

Location: Guymon, Oklahoma – Field Locations
Compensation: Hourly/Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

This position supports the critical “nervous system” of Pacific Ag (PA). An Inventory Control Auditor is an entry level role focusing on inventory accuracy, locations, and quality. The work will include routine (daily, weekly, monthly, and annual) activities, as well as ad hoc assignments.

An Inventory Control Auditor is regionally based and, generally, works a Monday-Friday schedule, year-round; with a requirement to work more hours when needed due to business demands, which is usually during harvest.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Accurately inspect and audit field stack inventory and troubleshoot inconsistencies in inventory data.
  • Accurately and efficiently use company inventory control systems/processes, including mapping technology.
  • Take and prepare product core samples for quality and grading analysis and send to the lab.
  • Assist with stack clean ups with operations and order management team.
  • Make sure documents are stored and labeled correctly for later use.
  • Coordinate inventory protection with operations and loading teams.
  • Communicate effectively and continuously with the team including operations, loading/trucking, administration, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience and/or skill set.
  • Valid driver license with acceptable driving record by PA’s insurance company.

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience is helpful but not needed. On-the-job training is required.

  • Ability to work without daily direction and take initiative and action to accomplish tasks, check-in, ask questions, and provide updates when appropriate.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and stay organized.
  • Ability to build an understanding of our business and the industry.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills using the English language.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations using basic math and a calculator.
  • Proficient with a range of general applications, software, and hardware used in the organization including smart phone, tablet/pc, spreadsheet, inventory management software, and/or mapping technology.
  • Ability to remain professional with employees and other affiliated individuals.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records, follow through on responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolong periods of driving a vehicle and working outdoors in rural locations.
  • Fine manipulation tasks required like writing inventory documents.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently preferred, bilingual English/Spanish, a plus.
  • Must be available during regular business hours, generally, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but adjusting schedule or working more hours will be required at times based on business need, especially during harvest.
  • Punctual and consistent attendance required.

Other duties may be assigned but would be of similar nature to the responsibilities in this job description. This does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties.
