Inventory Control MangerPosition PurposeThe inventory control manager is responsible for managing the inventory control system and processes of the Second Harvest of South Georgia Inc. ensuring the accurate recording tracking and reporting of all inventory and compliance with inventory regulations and standards. The chosen applicant will demonstrate our values service and innovation advancing the mission of SHSG toend hunger in South Georgia.Core Accountabilities and Essential DutiesInventory Counts and AuditsThe inventory control manager performs audits and counts to ensure accurate inventory.Conducts cycle counts per operating procedures and reconciles discrepancies.Conducts order picking and receiving audits.Assists operations director in physical inventory counts and reconciliation with computer count.Conducts count and makes transformation adjustments for Kids Cafe Backpack Program and Mobile Food Pantry Program products that have been rescued as well as other programs as necessary.Tracking and ReportingThe inventory control manager contributes to monthly and quarterly reporting processes.Completes month end reports for purchased product donated product government issued and does so in timely and accurate manner.Provides monthly inventory report to senior management on the results of daily cycle counts weekly spot audits of receiving counts and order picking accuracy.Provides monthly detailed inventory adjustment report to the operations director and summary adjustment report to the COO and CFO with explanations of any unusual variances.Works with the accounting department to reconcile month end inventory between inventory software and accounting software.Completes or assists as necessary the Feeding America Quarterly Poundage Report.Data EntryThe inventory control manager ensures timely entry of all receipting and inventory changes.Enters or assists with entry of all receipts as needed.Processes agencys pick tickets and invoices.Processes all inventory adjustments and order adjustments.Enters orders for the numerous food distribution programs.Food SafetyThe inventory control manager monitors product for food safety standards.Oversees inventory recalls and mock recalls.Conducts weekly product insect inspections and monthly glass inspections.Office Support and Other DutiesThe inventory control manager provides administrative support as needed.Works throughout SHSGs twenty-six county region and our three site facilities located in Thomasville Tifton and headquartered in Valdosta.Reviews all agency orders to be released for picking.Monitors the movement of off-site inventory so it is available as needed for picking.Provides information on current inventory and product movement assisting in decisions regarding donation offerings.Assists in the oversight maintenance and enhancements to the Primarius inventory software.Participates in committees and innovation impact teams that ensure excellent operating practices while exploring new ways to deliver services that best serve our clients and advance our mission and vision.Education Experience and RequirementsSuccessful candidates for this position should have 2 to 3 years experience in inventory control management. Experience with inventory and distribution technologies and food safety preferred.
