Job Description

OverviewPerforms a variety of tasks pertaining to liaison duties between hospital departments and Supply Chain. Insures all policies and procedures related to ordering receiving and distribution of supplies are followed. Assumes responsibility of all inventories within assigned departments.ResponsibilitiesMaximize the use of Materials Managements Information System to maintain all assigned departmental inventoriesHelp to facilitate ordering of assigned departmental inventoriesResponsible for physical organization of all assigned department inventoriesAssist departments in following established purchasing and requisitioning policiesFollow best practices within healthcare supply chain supporting hospital departments to reduce cost to NLH eliminate waste and increase patient and clinical staff satisfactionWork directly with assigned department managers Inventory Specialist and Director of Supply Chain to maintain compliance as to minimize stock out situations while maximizing the economy of the ordering process and turn ratesResponsible for picking and replenishing all stocked items from supply room inventory for assigned departmentsMonitor all outdates within assigned department supply locationsReplenish IV solutions for PharmacyMaintain an up-to-date knowledge and familiarity with items within the departments you serviceWork directly with department staff members to ensure prompt delivery of equipment and suppliesAssist in conducting all physical inventories throughout NLHWork with Inventory Specialist on inventory cycle countsWill work closely on a daily basis and be back up to the Inventory Specialist when absentPerform other duties as requestedQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience preferred but not requiredRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Fitness,AXA,Council,Cleaning,Data Analysis Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
