Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry.Job summary:The Iron Technician III provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components of valves.Additional Information:Starting Pay: $27.10/Hour. Can be adjusted with experience.Schedule:Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM currently working 6:00 AM 5:00 PM with some weekends. Schedule may change to a rotating schedule in the future.Overtime based on business needRelocation is not available for this positionSponsorship is not available for this positionWhat you will do:At SPM Oil & Gas our primaryobjectiveis to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer serviceProcessincoming gate valve start to to accept equipment from delivery recommission equipment load equipment for delivery complete all associate paperwork perform quality check and manage inventory (without supervision)Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of pressure control productto produce high quality productAbility to perform final inspectionAbility to mentor and train fellow technicians in the refurbishment processDemonstrate leadership skillsExhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culturePerformadditionalduties as assignedWhat you will have:One to two yearsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrate consistency accountability reliability and solid work ethicWorking knowledge of oil and gas equipmentExperience with FC style and FLS style gate valvesTop Candidates will have:Ability tooperatehand tools such ashammers screw drivers hydraulic torque wrenches and additional specialty tools including micrometersMust be at least 21 years of ageHave a clean driving record which generally means:No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) yearsPhysical Demands:Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hearRequired to sit; climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depthperceptionand ability to adjust focusMust be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the departmentWork Environment:Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particlesFrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditionsOccasionally exposed to high precarious places and vibrationNoise Level: ModerateSummary Pay Range:$27.10 - $36.35Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience.
