Communicate and train users on best practices on software topics for procurement, contracting and asset management. Assist with the coordination and management of IT Budget and financial processes.This position is approved for remote work on a hybrid basis. Remote work is a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.  Job DescriptionJob Duties: Assist with the execution of software agreements, license quotes and  purchases. Including review of contracts and SLAs in conjunction with University procurement policies and state guidelinesAssist with the monitoring of software and license allocations against contracted levels and proactively address gapsAssist with the management of the Software and Cloud Services Risk Review process for Conditional Use Applications.Maintain database of products and assist with the documentation of actual costs vs. forecasting annual costs to support accurate financial analysis.Assist with for the adherence to accessibility requirements set forth in Miami's Accessible Technology Policy.Lead the design, implementation and regular updates of a university-wide Software Asset Management awareness program to educate university to SAM principles, including software compliance activities including licensing audits as needed for contact adherence.Assist with the maintenance and coordination of IT resources and expenses, E&G, Designated and Gift Funds, for accuracy and completeness.Perform functions in support of the annual and multi-year budget processes and planning including routine and ad-hoc reports Monitor and coordinate various activities including but not limited to preparing funding transfers, departmental chargebacks, capital asset inventory and prepaid expenses.Actively promote a customer-oriented approach throughout IT Services.Participate in professional development activities and cross-functional projectsPerform other duties as required or assigned Minimum Qualifications:Associates degree in business, accounting or related field, earned by date of hire AND 1+ year experience with monitoring, tracking and interpreting financial data.OR 3+ years’ experience with monitoring, tracking and interpreting financial data. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field, earned by date of hire.3+ years’ experience with IT contract administration, purchasing and procurement in a higher education environment.3+ years’ experience with financial responsibilities, budgeting and planning. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong computer skills using programs such as Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.Strong analytical and financial planning skillsGeneral knowledge of accounting practicesStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to create and contribute to an inclusive work environment Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Software and/or vendor management certifications such as:Certified Software Manager certificationAdvanced Software Manager certificationCertified Technology Procurement ExpertCertifiedRegulatory Vendor Manager Program (CRVMP)  This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis.
