Security Sensitive Position?:YesHours of Work:8:00 AM - 5:00 PM M-FPosting Number:TSU203076Official TSU Title:ERP Technical DeveloperGrant Title:N/AJob Description Summary / TWC Summary:This position will be a member of the Texas Southern University’s ERP team responsible for the support and maintenance of the ERP system. They will support several of technologies, including integrations with other systems as well as requiring excellent customer support skills. As a member of the OIT department this position strives to ensure consistency in communications, actions, and alignment to the strategic plan of the university. This position is also responsible for supporting the mission of the university by delivering technology, services, solutions and guidance to the students, faculty, staff, and the community in a professional, exemplary, service oriented collaborative manner.Essential Duties Summary:Work with ERP Team and Stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions to business problems, including those that go beyond a technical footprintSupport or administer ERP application, including monitoring, cycling, and troubleshootingManage, maintain, and create ad-hoc queries and reportsAutomate manual or antiquated processesDevelop new integrations and maintain existing integrations with other systems.Support ERP upgrades and patchingAccurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk systemDevelop, implement and optimize stored procedures, objects (such as tables, indexes, triggers) and functions using PL/SQLCreate and maintain knowledge base articlesCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organizationPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.% FTE:1.0Hiring Range:Commensurate with experience.Education:Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Information Technology, Business or closely related discipline preferred.Required Licensing/Certification:N/AKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Have a deep knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (eg. Banner) in Higher EducationFull understanding of SDLC Smart sheets / ServiceNow for project trackingSystem Integration (eg. UC4, Snaplogic, Boomi, or Mulesoft)Complex systems and procedures automationDemonstrates expert knowledge in multiple disciplines. Acts as the ultimate subject matter expert in several professional disciplines and is the “go-to” expert on principles, methods and procedures. Requires the ability to create methods and approaches to handle unique situationsMust have outstanding written/oral communication and analytical skills, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to communicate on both a technical and business levelMust be proficient in IT project managementMust be proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, or Power PointMicrosoft Office Professional or similar applicationsSkill in:Banner ERP: Operation, and/or Administration, and/or Software DevelopmentPL/SQL technical skills and strong analytical analysisBanner Workflow, Ellucian WorkfloweVisionsBlackboard/ Banner interfacing knowledgeDegreeWorksSlateEffective customer serviceProblem-solving and decision-makingMultitasking and time managementProject managementBoth verbal and written communicationAbility to:Prepare detailed reports.Work independently.Communicate effectively.
