This role requires a senior-level professional with eight or more years of experience strong judgment and the ability to plan and execute complex testing initiatives with minimal direction. Creativity autonomy and the ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment are critical.Key Responsibilities Design develop and maintain automated test scripts including the creation of execution plans and automation documentation. Develop execute and maintain both manual and automated test cases aligned to business and technical requirements. Prepare comprehensive UAT test cases and conduct walkthroughs with business stakeholders. Track test execution progress document results and provide detailed reporting. Log track and manage defects using Jira ensuring proper categorization and prioritization. Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices. Collaborate with development teams across dev test and UAT environments and troubleshoot defects as needed. Perform SQL-based validation using CRUD operations. Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools including automation where applicable. Execute various test types including unit integration regression smoke user acceptance system stress and performance testing. Ensure authentication authorization and user-permission workflows are validated through automated test scripts. Utilize Xray for test management and contribute to Agile ceremonies and sprint deliverables. Use UFT for automation scripting and test execution. Support accessibility testing and validation in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Communicate complex technical information clearly both verbally and in writing. Work independently and collaboratively to meet aggressive project timelines and delivery milestones. Respond to testing-related inquiries resolve issues and manage multiple assignments efficiently. Accurately track and report time spent on project activities and estimate efforts for upcoming changes or enhancements.Required Skills and Experience 8 years of experience writing and executing test cases and test plans. 8 years of experience with usability concepts requirements traceability and the full SDLC. 8 years of experience using Xray Test Case Management and Jira. 8 years of experience with advanced SQL queries including CRUD operations. 8 years of experience with automated testing using UFT. 8 years of experience executing and automating API tests using Postman SOAPUI JMETER or similar tools. Experience across all testing types: unit integration regression smoke UAT system stress and performance. Strong defect tracking and documentation skills. Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Preferred Qualifications 5 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming concepts. 5 years of experience performing accessibility testing and using assistive technology tools ensuring WCAG 2.1 AA compliance. 5 years of experience supporting projects for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) or similar state agencies.
