Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Database Administrator - ConsultantLocation: Blythewood, SCPosition Type: C2C/W2Years of Experience:10+ yearsDuration of the Contract: 12 monthsAdditional details: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense. Project Scope: The Database Administrator (Consultant) will be responsible for performing advanced data modeling and production database support in both Oracle and MS SQL environments. Key deliverables include:Current-state assessment report of existing ERwin data modelsNew or updated logical and physical data models in ERwin (.erwin files)Data dictionaries and full model documentationVersion-controlled data model repositoryIdentification of data integrity, consistency issues, and duplicate dataReporting and recommendations to address identified issuesWeekly progress reportsFinal project summary at closeoutIn addition, this role will supplement the existing DBA team with production support tasks, including:Daily ticketsVersion updatesSecurity updatesAfter-hours work as requiredYou will collaborate with a team of six database engineers/administrators and work closely with application architects, developers, business analysts, and server support teams. Key Responsibilities:Create and maintain logical and physical data models using ERwin Data ModelerUpdate model documentation and manage metadataPerform reverse and forward engineering of database structuresProvide data modeling best practices and documentation standardsEnsure models support scalability, performance, and integrity requirementsIdentify and resolve data integrity and duplication issuesProduce reports and recommendations based on findingsCollaborate with data architects, DBAs, developers, and business analystsMaintain version control of models and manage repositoriesSupport data governance and compliance effortsPerform similar modeling tasks for MS SQL databases as neededProvide Oracle and MS SQL production DBA support as directed by the DBA Manager Required Skills & Experience:· 3+ years of professional Data Modeling experience using ERwin (or similar tools)· Oracle 19c DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022 experience Preferred Skills:· SQL Server DBA Certification· DD Boost for Oracle backup/restore operations· Oracle Grid Control· Oracle ASMCertifications:· Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or equivalent Oracle certification
