IT Technician (Entry Level) at Interco

The IT Technician provides front-line technical support across computers mobile devices software applications and basic network connectivity. This role resolves day-to-day user issues performs routine maintenance supports onboarding and offboarding and assists with a wide range of internal IT projects.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to and resolve help desk tickets calls and email requestsTroubleshoot Windows OS issues software problems and common errorsSupport remote users using remote assistance toolsReset passwords and manage basic account permissionsSet up new user accounts and assist with onboarding and offboardingReplace or upgrade basic hardware components in desktops and laptopsTroubleshoot and support printers scanners and peripheralsEnsure connectivity for LAN Wi-Fi and VPN usersAssist with basic IP DNS DHCP and network printer issuesAdd new IT assets into inventory and maintain accurate asset recordsPerform clean organized wire and cable management on desks racks and workstationsLog support requests and resolution documentation in ConnectWiseUpdate knowledge base articles and internal documentationParticipate in routine system maintenance and patchingAssist with IT projects migrations and hardware rolloutsPerform periodic on-site inspections at assigned locationsQualifications : Skills and RequirementsStrong understanding of Windows OS troubleshootingGeneral PC hardware knowledge including RAM SSD BIOS basics and peripheralsAbility to perform clean and organized wire and cable managementFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 and common business softwareAbility to troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issuesUnderstanding of user account management including Active Directory basicsAbility to document work clearly and follow established proceduresStrong internal communication skillsPreferred and TrainableBasic IP networking concepts including DNS DHCP and subnetsExperience with ITSM ticketing systems such as ConnectWise or ServiceNowExperience with remote support toolsAbility to support project tasks including imaging deployments and upgradesUnderstanding of IT security best practices and phishing awarenessEducation and ExperienceCollege degree in a related field is requiredAcceptable fields include Information Technology Computer Science Cybersecurity or similar disciplinesUp to two years of IT support experienceCompTIA A preferred Additional Information : Compensation: $20/hr100% Company-paid Medical Dental Vision100% Company-paid Short-Term Disability Long-Term DisabilityCompany paid $25K life insurance policyAccelerated paid Vacation time Paid vacation Christmas Eve through New Years Day for all employeesAs a matter of company policy Interco does not sponsor employment visas or hire from out of the USA nor does the company sponsor candidates who do not currently reside within the USA without an existing H-1B visa.This job description is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities duties or responsibilities that will be required.
